Experimental and Theoretical Aspects of Neutrinos and Dark Matter
TUM / Accelerator laboratory
Neutrino properties, neutrino astronomy at low
and high energies
and high energies
Several PhD Positions at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) on
Experimental and Theoretical Aspects of Neutrinos and Dark Matter
We are looking for highly qualified and motivated students holding an
MSc or equivalent degree in physics or astrophysics to pursue doctoral
research at the Munich School on Neutrinos and Dark Matter. The School
is an Integrated Research Training Group within the recently founded
SFB1258 “Neutrinos and Dark Matter in Astro- and Particle Physicsâ€
( www.sfb1258.de < http://www.sfb1258.de/ >). SFB1258 is based at the Technical University of Munich
(TUM) in collaboration with the Max-Planck-Institut für Physik (MPP),
Max-Planck-Institut für ExtraterÂrestrische Physik (MPE),
Max-Planck-Institut für Astrophysik (MPA), European Southern Observatory
(ESO), and the Institut für Hochenergiephysik (HEPHY) der
ÖsterreiÂchischen Akademie der Wissenschaften.
We are offering PhD positions in Physics on various experimental as well
as theoretical topics on neutrino properties, neutrino astronomy at low
and high energies, the particle nature of dark matter, axion searches,
and superÂnovae processes including the investigation of stellar matter.
We offer participation in running and future experiments like CRESST,
FERMI, GERDA/LEGEND, IceCube, IceCube-Gen2, JUNO, KATRIN, SOX, and our
local infrastructures, including the Maier-Leibnitz tandem accelerator
laboratory.
